Ellen wasn't too interested in napping today.... so, a little Wonder Pets! was in order (buys me 5 minutes).

And then, kind of a fake-out nap pose ...

Which may all have something to do with this new little tooth. I'm not a fan of said tooth.

Also, a little home project. I was coveting this light fixture from Restoration Hardware, then found a perfectly acceptable clone on Overstock.com. Our handy man came to install it today after, oh, say 6 months of it sitting in our basement. (Also, a second reason the Wonder Pets! was needed - to keep Ellen from eating chunks of drywall off the floor. Don't worry - she only tried it once).

I forgot to get a 'before' picture, but there was a pretty traditional brass chandelier that just wasn't working for us. We are converting our dining room to more of a living room for play space. And toy space. (Also, please excuse the pantry supplies - we are fighting with pantry moths. I'm also not a fan of them).
If any of you locals need a handy man, I would gladly pass on his name. He has done other work for us and is very nice and reasonable. Also, he is more artistic than most - paints and does other nice projects, in addition to renovating his own historic home.
You know you have a project ... it's the New Year!

You two TOTALLY should have come to entertain us at school today! My class has serious cabin fever after way too many days of indoor recess! The kids are dying to see her. They "ahhhhhh" every time they see her picture projected from my computer desktop.
I LOVE her hair this way!
I LOVE the new lamp. I can't wait to see it all come together. Let me know how I can help!
I like the light! We are on the hunt...
Oh boy, do I have projects! I just don't have the money, at least right now!
Ouch! That tooth looks painful!
Her hair is so stinkin' cute!!
