Poor little Ellen has a respiratory something-or-other. She has been fighting with some junk in her chest for the last 10 days, and started wheezing last night when we got home from school. (That statistic about 12 colds in the first 12 months? Yeah, we're there. )
In case you want to know what that sounds like, here it is. (And, I wasn't filming for the blog, but rather to show the doctor. Who knew? Flip video as a medical tool!)
So, now we are on the "every 4 hour breathing treatment" schedule. Again, thank God for grandparents to help take care of the little peanut. Still a little wheezy tonight ... don't think we'll be partying this weekend. Oh wait - we don't do that anymore, anyway!
If I wasn't thankful enough already, this really fills me with gratitude for having a healthy child. The breathing treatments are a little annoying, and the wheezing is a little scary, but they truly are such minor things compared to so many others.
Squeeze all those kiddos tight today - we sure are.

Poor baby! Poor Mommy & Daddy, too. That is painful to listen to. Is she sad because she doesn't feel well ... or still moving & shaking like normal?
Would she like some Aunt Betsy cuddle time this weekend to cheer her up?
Pretty much her normal self - throwing stuff around. Cuddle time is good!
booo...unfortunately if it is RSV breathing treatments may not make much difference. We're seeing it at CMH - though typically no reason to worry about it in kids her age. We've had the chest gunk too (though maybe a result of inhaling saw dust?)...hope E is on the mend soon!!! NO FUN!
Poor Peanut!! Thanks for the reminder that healthy kids are something to appreciate...Hope she kicks this cold soon!
Poor little Ellen. Sending our love from Dallas.
