I think we covered it

In case you are lucky enough to get to Oahu some day soon ...

We ate it all. ALL.

And, yes, can you say diet?

We spent Sunday on the North shore - the infamous 3 Lunches. We started at Kua'Aina Sandwich Shop for "the best burgers on the island". OK burgers, great fries.
Then, we couldn't pass up the rotisserie chicken in the parking lot next door. Yes, parking lot. Half a chicken, please!

Then, Shrimp! A dozen shrimp covered in garlic-y goodness. Thank you Giovanni's!

On Sunday, we had drinks and apps at House Without a Key. We had good company, tasty drinks and food, and the MOST beautiful view of the sunset. Then, of course, finish the night with a hot dog! Not just any hot dog - but a PUKA dog.

We only went out for breakfast one morning, but it was really enough food for 8 days. These are the HUGE banana walnut pancakes at MAC 24-7. The guy from Man vs. Food ate here. In case you can't tell, these are enormous pancakes. They flip them with a pizza paddle and we each had a small wedge and couldn't finish it.

Oh, wait. I lied. More breakfast, or brunch, at Leonard's. They have malasadas, which are described as filled donut holes. Really more like filled donuts, but still delish. We had 6, of course, to try every flavor.

Cinnamon sugar was the best, but guava was unique!

We ate tons and tons of fish. We might need to visit Jeremy Piven's doctor for mercury testing. This was some of the best fish we had at Nico's on Pier 38 - a grilled Ahi sandwich and fish and chips.

And because we didn't feel the first place had the best burgers, we had to try again. This is the spud burger at Teddy's. Why hasn't anyone else thought of a hashbrown on a burger? These really were good.

Not full yet? Shave ice is a Hawaiian treat. Erik had the rainbow at Waiola Shave Ice.

Oh, you thought that was it?

We also had great meals at:
Doraku Sushi
Duke's Waikiki
Sansei Seafood and Sushi
Roy's
Pineapple Room

And, I think we can say with reasonable certainty that Ellen's first word is "EAT".

Appropriate, no?

You mean to tell me there's not a "Dave's Not Here" in Hawaii? Where do those people go for chili rellenos?

I'm willing to bet that this is the only menu item with Ellen's name in it!

Whoa Nellie!
