Summer flashback: Cousins!

Despite the fact that almost all of the McKnight family is within 3 hours of us (most within 1 hour of us), my cousin who is closest in age, and has children closest in age to ours, lives in North Carolina! We don't get to see them near enough and were so happy we got to squeeze in some quality cousin (and second cousin) time on their summer vacation.

We met them at Deanna Rose Farmstead and I actually hadn't been there in a couple of years - there are so many new things! When I used to take Ellen we would enter, take a sharp left to tour through the animals, and leave. Well, this time we meandered right and got to see all the new activities and exhibits and didn't even make it to the regular animals!

We did get to feed a baby goat, which Ellen liked and alternately didn't like because they smelled. (And, the use the same bottles as Georgia, I might add ...)
And then we all got together for lunch in Lawrence on a gorgeous day. It was like Thanksgiving in July!

This is kind of a tradition - we have a picture from Thanksgiving together, both pregnant with our girls. Then you can see the girls here as sort-of toddlers, and now round 2!

The best cousin pic we could get - tongues out, balloons obscuring faces, crying baby.
And, wrapped up the day with water balloons and tire swing fun!
