Santa Claus is coming to town

The weekend before Ellen's birthday we were again invited to the infamous Santa party at our friend's house. You can see past years HERE and HERE. The kids really have a great time and the parents get to commiserate about the upcoming holiday season. Win win. This year most of the kids had been several times, so they really got it and were so well-behaved and patient.

The Mr. and Mrs. Claus are just perfectly jolly and kind. So sweet.

Santa brought Ellen a Play Doh Popsicle maker which she was pleased with, but was not the one she asked for thankyouverymuch. (Whoops, says Santa's shopper. Never paid attention in past years). Georgia was also gifted a toy, which Ellen was happy to open and play with.

In addition to Santa, Ellen was most happy to eat a bowl of macaroni and cheese and snacks, including what she now refers to as "pigs in a sarcophagus".

We left at the same time as Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
"Why do they drive a car? Where are their reindeer?"
Oh, Ellen - it's Leawood. You can't get a reindeer permit here.

And, as they drove by our car, they may have heard the shouts of an almost-4-year-old down the street .... "BRING MY PRESENTS TONIGHT!!"
