Here comes Santa Claus

We went to a really fun Santa party last weekend! Our friends (god bless them) had a house full of people, including about 172 kids, and a true life Mr. and Mrs. Claus! Each child conveniently had a wrapped present with their name on it that Santa delivered - such fun! (As my mom said, this really is the most civilized way to visit Santa ...)

Ells did really great and was totally happy to open a Mrs. Potato Head. The 3 muffins she ate helped with her behavior for a little while (preoccupation), and then didn't help so much (scratching mom in the face).


And, p.s., for those of you with a digital SLR camera, you can see the difference in these pictures: first one on auto with a flash, and second shot in manual without flash. It was dark in the room and I was afraid to miss the shot, so I went with auto, but then I wasn't super happy with the pictures. I tried on manual and was so much happier with the coloring, even if it isn't super crisp. Give it a try!
