Just like mommy

When I was in Texas, I stayed at Emily and Jon's house on Saturday night before my flight out Sunday. Little Lauren watched me put on my make-up at the kitchen table Sunday morning (while she had an adorable amount of food on her face) and then she made a bee-line for her mother's make-up bag a little later. It dawned on me that I had never let Ellen play with my make-up, and I thought she would probably enjoy it.

I thought correctly.

As a person who likes to have everything in its place, it is sometimes a challenge for me to let Ellen mess it all up, but the joy on her face is certainly worth it in the end.

She spent almost an hour last weekend moving all of my make-up around the bathroom ...

(and giggling from the ticklish brush. "Is dis toof-brush?" she says ...)

I know this picture is fuzzy, but this is the only time we have captured this funny face that Ellen makes. She curls her lip, has a dimple by the side of her nose, and is usually saying "what is dis?"

Again, continuing with the theme of stacking and then moving items.

Juuuusssst tall enough!

When does Ellen get to put ON your makeup? That last picture is a classic!

So cute, Molly. Your pics are great. I may have to take some photography lessons from you.

Love the last one! It's a framer for her bathroom when she grows up!

Her "was dis?" face is Molly minus 25 years! Surely your dad has a pic with you and that same face :) I love it! Liz

PS...if it makes you feel better, an old makeup brush and some chap stick are about as far as Emma has gotten into my makeup. I, like you, have a tough time undoing the few things I manage to keep organized these days. Kuddos for letting her explore and have fun!
