Her last day of fever was Monday at noon, which was of course the day we finally took her to see the pediatrician and she had blood drawn for cultures. Such is life.
She has been up every morning this week, though, between 4:15-4:45am. I am glad sick Ellen is gone, but I wish sleepy Ellen had stuck around for a little while longer. I swear, this girl is setting some kind of Guinness World Record for teething.
She did learn how to make the "smooch" sound this week when she gives you a kiss. And, she has mastered the art of climbing into the chair by herself. She is pretty cute. I think we'll keep her.

Yay! Glad to hear she's back. Sorry about the early riser though.
Are you sure you shouldn't put ear plugs in for a few mornings and let her hang out(aka scream or cry)in her crib till she goes back to sleep? Perhaps its habitual waking rather than really being ready to get up for the day??? Had to do this with each kid around major milestones (verbal, motor, teething). Just a thought?
You know, I'm really not afraid of crying-it-out. The unfortunate thing is that we did it for FIVE days in a row and it didn't seem to make a bit of difference. We don't get her out of bed until 5:45 or 6, so it makes for a tired household. Finally, Sunday morning I went in at the first peep and gave her Motrin and she went straight back to sleep for about 45 minutes. Today though? Not so much.
The problem with her learning to "smooch"? She doesn't give anything but air kisses anymore ....
