Georgia: Two Months

A day late ... don't tell Georgia.

It's been a great month, busy, but great. Georgia just seems to be getting bigger and bigger, mostly gaining weight in her hair, eyelashes and cheeks as best I can tell. She is a sweet baby, full of smiles lately. I will be feeding her and Ellen will stop what she's doing and say, "Mom! Can you make her smile for me?"

Her reflux definitely seems improved with medication and she can burp like a frat boy (Erik is so proud). I can generally count on her to sleep longer and longer, with the occasional bad night that now just seems cruel for everyone.

We have her 2-month appointment next  week with the first round of shots .... booo. I think she is quite a bit longer than Ellen and seems to be growing out of clothes in the length first, something that Ellen never did.

Ellen continues to be enamored with Georgia, often saying - We have the cutest baby, right? She is the best baby, right? She does have a little bit of jealousy, but only directed at me. When I burp Georgia I will kind of coo at her and Ellen says, "Every time you do that I feel that you like Georgia better than me". Gah. And, we were taking down the Christmas ornaments and Ellen found a picture ornament from the day we came home from the hospital with her. "I think you liked me better when I was a baby. You look happier here." Again, GAH. There is lots of reassurance that I do, in fact, love her a whole bunch. This too shall pass, right?

I head back to work the end of this month, which I just can't believe has come so quickly. Work will actually be quieter than my days at home with both kids, which will be nice, as soon as we can figure out how in the world to get out of the house in the mornings.
