A week later ...

Not much has changed around here and I find myself constantly wondering what day it is. It's almost embarrassing how infrequently I get out of the house, but that will all change soon. SOON. It seems impossible that 11 weeks have already flown by. I find myself trying to cram some "projects" into these last few days at home, while simultaneously trying to remind myself to just enjoy the time with Georgia. Before I had Ellen I was working full time, then went back only 3 days a week, so it was kind of like my maternity leave extended for 2 days a week. Indefinitely. I loved having that time with her. Now, I will still be working 3 days, but my 2 "home days" won't be nearly as restful. Thankful to have them, but peaceful? productive? Not so much. I'm kind of sad I won't have that solo time with Georgia, but such is the life of a second child, I suppose.

Georgia continues to be a smiley, happy girl. I don't remember Ellen ever crying very much, but I think Georgia cries even less. She has a frantic kind of cry she uses when she is hungry, which I so rarely hear that it surprises me every time. She also has the cutest, whimper-y tired cry that I love to hear because it means it's nap time! If I'm holding her and she is ready to sleep she will start to rub her face back and forth on my shoulder, like, DONE. She is starting to do that whole-face grin in the mornings when I get her out of bed, which is just the very best. She also has that "smize" thing - smiling with her eyes - down pat. It struck me yesterday that Georgia is the best winter baby - she is a snuggler and nuzzles her head into my neck and is the perfect substitute for a scarf.

I think red is totally Georgia's color.

Ells gets upset when she can't watch Georgia play on her mat.

We borrowed this from our in-laws and it is Awesome. Has a little motor that moves the arms and toys on its own! Lazy parent's dream.

Fuzzy, but ADORABLE.
