Ellen was up bright and early on Christmas morning - about 5:45am. I went in her room and told her that she had to stay in bed quietly because I wasn't sure if Santa had come yet. She nastily said, "I want to skip Christmas!"
Really?
"Yes. I only want one present. "
Oh, which one?
"The one Santa already gave me at Will's house. And, I don't even like it. "
Somehow her sweet talk earned her a spot in our bed until the barely reasonable hour of 6:30am when she said she "changed her mind" and thought she might want to see if Santa came.

This blurry picture totally sums up her joy at turning the corner ... gifts??? Umm, no. Santa left part of one cookie which she quickly DEVOURED before even considering looking at her gifts.

She was pretty happy with the band-aids, though. And the very specific Cat in the Hat water cup she asked for on December 23rd. ("Just like I asked for, Mama!!")

And dress up goodies in a suitcase, and some art supplies, and storage baskets. That Santa is so thoughtful!

She turned the corner into her playroom where I had unloaded her loot from the night before and she said, "Mom! Santa left me MORE presents!" Well, if I had known it would be that easy ...

Pooped out from all the excitement. Oh wait, JUST KIDDING. She doesn't sleep. Ever.
