Keeping busy

Some little things filling our time these days ...

Ellen is seriously in to dress-up these days. Our "normal drill" when we get home from school is that I bring Georgia into the house and put her straight into bed for a short nap before eating again and going to sleep. Ellen strips off her shoes and socks and, often, her pants/skirt because everything is dirty and/or sandy. Now she prefers to take off all her school clothes, change into PJs and add various "accessories".

Georgia isn't eating any solids yet, but does typically sit with us at dinner to try to keep her occupied for 8 minutes until it's time to feed her and put her to bed. The entire time consists of: "Ellen - leave her be. She can play by herself. Sit down and eat your dinner" - repeat, repeat, repeat.
I copied a gal I follow on Instagram and set up an art station for Ellen. I have really discouraged painting due to the anticipated mess, but I let Ellen color with Sharpies, so how much mess could there really be?
"That Dr. Suess sure does some great artings!" she says ...

And Georgia is really rocking the Exersaucer and Jumper these days.

And (sort of) playing peek-a-boo!
I love the way that Georgia intently watches Ellen as she adds all manner of "decoration" to whatever Georgia is doing ...

And a break for a song!
