8 years of wedded bliss!

Happy Anniversary to us today ... hard to believe it has been that long, but I remember our wedding as such a fun day, surrounded by our nearest and dearest, with weather almost as gorgeous as today.

After we moved, I dug through every box of "keepsakes" to see what was really worth of keeping. We have saved virtually every letter Erik and I sent to each other during our long distance romance (4+ years) - so funny to see.

#1 - letters? Yes, we were dating in the days before email. In fact, I found the first email I ever sent Erik - hilarious. Someday Ellen will laugh at all this. It does make me kind of sad, though, that most couples won't have that paper record anymore for their kids to laugh/cringe over.

#2 - My other thought: where did all this time come from to write letters and letters and letters? Aahhh, back in the day of little responsibility ...

So glad we did it, though ... guess the investment was worth it.
