1. I'm proud of my mom-deduction skills today.
I asked Ellen if she would like to go to her Dad's tailgate tomorrow?
"Yay! Will there be clowns? And screwdrivers?"
Hmmm ... no clowns. "Screwdrivers?"
"You know, the screwdrivers that jump out of planes?"
Oh. No, Ellen. I don't think there will be any skydivers. (She apparently thinks that a tailgate is the same things as the local Fourth of July Festival. I hope TEAM Tailgate can live up to the hype.)
2. I'm also proud of this little girl!
I hope you can see it ... she asked me if she drew December? It took me about 20 seconds to realize she meant her third birthday in December, which I thought was pretty clever! She counts well, with an occasional eleven-teen, but I haven't really ever seen her draw "numbers". Growing up so fast!

I can't believe you trust he with a Sharpie!
She would fit in nicely with my students this year :)
