Family lunch

We had a great family lunch get-together on Sunday at the Rozzelle Court Restaurant at the Nelson-Atkins Museum.

My Aunt Susan comes to visit KC several times a year and she always tries to get everyone together for brunch - such fun! We were finally able to get a good little cousin picture. (Ellen is HIGHLY enamored of this crew).

And, a big family picture! We usually try to do this outside at Thanksgiving, but this way is so much warmer!

And, a little art walk with Dad!

Lunch was planned for right before nap time, so I wasn't sure how Ells would do, but it was (surprisingly) the perfect kid-friendly location! It is kind of noisy inside the restaurant, so kid noise isn't really noticed. And, you walk through a buffet of sorts to pick your meal, so there is no waiting for a server or a check. It is affordable, certainly no more than you would pay for brunch anywhere else. And, the bonus is that you can walk through the museum for free! (You know the Nelson is always free, right? ) Ellen loved wandering up and down the hallways and liked to roar at the big lion ... give it a shot and see what your kids think!
