Oh sunshine, you are my friend

Today was beautiful and sunny and warm. It was heaven. I took pictures of some little crocus in our neighbor's yard because I think I forgot what color looks like.

Today also marks the end of two weeks of extra work for me. I only worked 4 days each week instead of 3, but it is amazing how fast I got used to being part time. I celebrated with a strawberry limeade chiller from Sonic. Kind of like a strawberry margarita, except not.

I swear, today also marks the 27th day in a row that Ellen has gotten up in the 5's. Not cool. The only benefit is that it makes it awfully easy to get to my meeting at the hospital at 7am. And then I get to leave at 3pm, so I kind of convinced myself I didn't even work today. Kind of.

I picked Ellen up early and we hit the school playground at the end of our street. She was surprisingly sure-footed on the plastic mulch-y stuff. And, surprisingly adventurous. Must get that from Erik. There were so many more picture opportunities, but I think it is frowned upon to let your 15-month-old go head first down the slide alone. Or eat that mulch-y stuff.

We had to have a bath tonight to wash off all that playground. I read a tip somewhere that you should take advantage of the natural light in your bathroom to take pictures of your kids. Works pretty well!

And then I told Ellen she couldn't stay up to watch the Hawks tonight.
WHHHAAAATTTT??

She's just so darn cute! There is no way she is anything but a happy, pleasant child.

That faucet picture is AMAZING!

Too bad we didn't have a picture of Ellen screaming & saying "NO!" when you two came to wake me up this morning. I guess 1 full day together was enough Aunt/Niece togetherness for her :)

She can get up in the 5's at my house. Can she come for a sleep-over?

That's exactly why we don't have any pics from the park. Charlie kept putting the mulchy stuff in his mouth and tried to go head first down the slide. She's so cute!
