I took Ellen to the park on Friday. She wasn't very happy with swinging, but was plenty happy to chase the dogs walking the path. She toddles very well on the uneven terrain!

The key is distraction
We have had quite a lot of success with getting rid of the pacifier. The weather has been warm and sunny this weekend, which has been SO WONDERFUL. We took full advantage!

And she wasn't very happy to be strapped back in to head home ...

Erik and Ellen visited some KU football players on Saturday, while Betsy and I made the first-weekend-of-the-month rounds at the antique shops downtown. There was also a lot of book reading and book-spreading-outing.
We wrapped up the weekend with a play date and delicious dinner with the Dreilings. Lucy shared her swing set ...

And Ellen gave us the stink eye, which may have had a little something to do with the fever she had when we got home. DRATS!
We are so pleased that there has been minimal whining for 'B' and the crying at bed time and nap time has lessened to almost none. In the process, though, Ellen seems to have developed a taste for books. Hmmm.

Great pics! It's so much more fun to take pictures when you can get outside & have some natural light. Looks like the girls had fun :)
Great job! What a happy kiddo!
Way to go!! The weather does wonders for lots of things....including getting rid of B!
I love her. AND the fact that her hair looks a bit red in that last picture! So cute!
