He truly is a partner in running this household - does his 50% of the work, and many days more than 50%. He was especially helpful in the early days of living with Ellen and took care of almost all the non-baby related activities.
Fourteen weeks later; however, people fall back into their normal routines.
I often run the dishwasher a few times a week for all of the baby bottles and do Ellen's laundry a few times a week because, MY GOD, how do we go through so many burpcloths? I usually fix dinner, although it is mostly thawing things out of the freezer, for now.
Also, speaking of normal routines, I have decided that I should go back to bed in the mornings from 7a-9a when Ellen sleeps because, well, why not? I won't be able to do it for long.
So today, when Erik told Ellen, "Look at what your Dad accomplished while your mom was sleeping ... Laundry! Dishes! Shower! Newspaper!" I told him I would call KCTV5 news - maybe there was enough time for him to make the 10:00 news as Dad Of The Day!
Teasing, of course ... I couldn't do it without him. Plus, the activity may have something to do with the fact that he leaves for the annual Vegas trip on Wednesday for the first round of March Madness. Just maybe.
Dad Of The Day (and mom, too) got outside yesterday with the girl to enjoy the sunshine. Thanks to Mike and Heather for the super cute outfit, and thanks to our drunk neighbors for the St. Patty's truck.

Where did they find THAT truck? Next year ... I can see the Lunds on the back in the St. Paddy's parade!
We should make medals for our hubbies...Clint stayed home with P a few days ago and was exhausted when I got home. (It was his first full day of daddy duty.) We are SUPERmoms every day, girl!!! Let me know if you need anything while he is gone. Even if it is just a play date!
