Pre-K Graduation

Welp. Two months without posting?!? I would like to say it's because we've had a great summer, and parts of it have been great, but also - did you know that regular busy work life continues all summer long? Rude.

Quite a bit of catching up to do around these parts before Kindergarten starts in 11 days. *commence deep breathing*

Even though Ellen's last true day in her Pre-K classroom was last Wednesday, and she will be in her regular buildinng sporadically until the day before Kindergarten starts, her official graduation ceremony was in May.

She was super excited to RUN to the front and collect the book from her teachers and her "Graduate" pendant - wore it for weeks. She was really lucky to have great teachers this year and, really, every year. She has been in the same building since she was 3 months old, along with 3 other girls who have been with her since the baby room and quite a few other kids who joined shortly after. It's a great group of kids and families that we will really miss!

Fortunately we will still be at school with Georgia for FOUR MORE YEARS, so they can't get rid of us that easily. And, I'm happy for Ellen that she will still get to see her teachers from time to time.

One of Ellen's classmates hosted a Pre-K Graduation Party and it was downright COLD, but the kids swam anyway! Really lots of fun.
