Moving right along ...
Georgia had a great month. The growth and change that occurs from day 1 to day 365 is really amazing, but I think it becomes more obvious around 5-6 months. I remember thinking when Georgia was just about 5 months that I was concerned about her gaining new skills. I read that if she wasn't rolling both ways and sitting reasonably well by the end of her 6th month, that would be cause for concern. Well - check, check, check. She is doing all of those things, plus eating! So fun to watch.
She is starting to roll or wiggle to try to get to things and seems especially interested in patterns, like trying to pick the polka dots off her blanket (or the numbers off the calendar, here):
Still likes playing with her feet, just as I found her in bed this morning sucking on her toes like, Oh, hey, nice to see you, Mom!
She is pretty even tempered, but is starting to scream / grunt / growl to get her point across. The only time she gets really upset is the 15 seconds when I lay her down on her Boppy before I feed her. It's as if she has never eaten before, which I know to be FALSE. This is her stretched out "done-with-this" pose - you can tell, right?
She is sitting up better and better - loves to sit her in Boppy in Ellen's playroom so Ellen can play with her (i.e. dance all around the room, make a mess, etc.) She is less and less happy in the exersaucer because Ellen can wander away ...
And, some more pictures of my baby on a calendar, just because I can ... also, I did trim the back of her hair last week! It had a few long scraggly bits that I cleaned up, but otherwise I'm letting it grow. I loved, loved playing with Ellen's hair when she was young. Nothing cuter than a little girl in pigtails! Once we cut it short, she stopped letting me mess with it. I love Ellen's short hair, too, but G is going to have to deal with Mommy's Beauty Parlor for a while longer.
Smiling up at Daddy, juuussssttt before falling over:
This girl loves to eat - hasn't (yet) refused anything. Apples, pears, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, peaches, green beans, peas, blueberries, mango, yogurt, broccoli, potatoes, banana, avocado. We started peanut butter last week, mixed with applesauce, and she loved it. The menu this week has eggs, beets and edamame ....
You can see Ellen's 7 month picture HERE. And, worth noting that the love fest goes both ways in this house. Ellen said this morning before walking out the door to school, "Georgia - I love you more than any baby I've ever met".

LOVE the post! Can relate to the older sis walking out of room paranoia as well . . . She is super cute!! LOVE her hair! I feel like Kate is starting to get frustrated she can't crawl yet and follow her big sis. Hope that happens sooner than later for her sake. But, most likely will be a few more months I"m guessing??
I'm so glad to see her sitting up. That's a trick she hasn't shared with me. Next up --- uncontrollable giggles!
