Three months!

Lots of excitement during the last 4 weeks. January was relatively nice and quiet compared to November and December, but still the days just passed too fast.

My Aunt Dinah visited at the end of January - we don't get to see her nearly enough, so it was so fun that she got to come for dinner and see the girls. Then Ellen went with them to the Nelson on Sunday to see a photography visit and the mummy, which she wasn't scared of because now she is four.

And then last Monday was Georgia's first day at school! And, she was sick! She picked up some respiratory bug (from Ellen, I'm sure) the week before and seemed to be getting worse, but didn't have a fever. We hemmed and hawed and took her to visit her pediatrician uncle, but in the end decided to send her because what are you going to do? My first day back at work and she will likely be sick off and on for the rest of the winter.
Ordered these pink Converse on sale for Ellen - she requested the high tops - and colored laces from Crewcuts. Not gonna lie - one of the perks of having kids is playing dress-up!
Her day was so-so, slept better than expected un-swaddled, but didn't take her bottles very well. Tuesday morning she was quite a bit worse, so we had to scramble for Erik to take her to the doctor and I went to work, then the grandparents were able to keep her all day. Hallelujah! I really don't know how people make this work without family nearby. I took Wednesday off work to take her back to the doctor, so all in all, not a great start back. Can only get better from here, right?

Georgia does seem to be in better spirits and her cough is much improved with breathing treatments every 4 hours. It's a combo of sweet / sad to see her big smile through the nebulizer mask. Mostly sad. Here she was yesterday - practicing with a rattle, assist to Ellen. I decided to just go ahead and change her schedule and drop a feeding while she is all messed up anyways. She was up at 3:45am to eat last night - ooof.
Yes, Ellen is dressing herself these days. She originally had on TWO pairs of leggings. You know, just in case.

And, yes, it's true. She keeps getting older!

Ellen wanted her own picture, of course. Here she was at 3 months. I keep threatening to put a brick on her head to stop her from growing and I just might! Funny that Ellen pulled that same outfit out of the drawer yesterday for Georgia to wear. Ellen's face and cheeks were much rounder at 3 months, but the awesome hair is about the same!
