It really is true that Ellen's first word, beyond da-da and ma-ma, was EAT. She said it all the time, in an appropriate way, mostly tugging on your pant leg to get some of your food. Now, just a few weeks later, she rarely says it ... only grunts and whines until you feed her.
This was after we got back from Hawaii. Kind of long, but funny (we think). Also, you can clearly see our parenting roles here: audience and disciplinarian.

Am I the only one that didn't know she was (sort of) saying "eat"?
I love how Erik almost got a bouncy, bouncy, bouncy out of her around 1:34.
P.S. I'm totally on Erik's side ... we can be the audience together. I laughed the whole time she was spitting!
That cracked me up as well as my co-workers! Love it.

She is so stinkin cute. Laughed out loud at the spitting, too!! Soo funny! And she is most DEFINITELY saying EAT!
Eric and I are cracking up! She's so adorable and yes, that was an "eat!"
