All is (not) calm, all is bright

We had a great weekend with our family. Starting at Erik's parents' house for Christmas Eve ... poor cousin Elliot always sweetly tolerates Ellen when she "helps" with his puzzles.

Santa arrived without incident. (And, note to self: when Santa comes from Ikea, there are no words with the instructions).

Ellen proceeded to tear through her Santa presents ...
It was definitely the whitest Christmas I remember. A dusting?

Umm ... no ... try FEET in certain areas. Erik spent a good portion of his day shoveling!
We spent the morning at my parents' house. Ellen quickly learned the art of tearing open wrapping paper. We had a great feast and mingled with a lot of the McKnight family, but sadly missed several important members who were snowed in.

We ended the day with Erik's aunt and uncle and a few other family members who weren't snowed in for the traditional Christmas fondue.

Despite very erratic napping, Ellen was a champ and is already looking forward to next year!Hope your Christmas was just as special! On to New Year's!
