More of the same

Last weekend's "Family, Fun and Food" worked so well, that we pretty much repeated it.

Ellen is adding new skills by leaps and bounds ... if you look closely, you can see our little Michael Jordan sticking her tongue out while concentrating really hard on getting that block into her mouth.

While ALL grandparents and Aunt Betsy spent a good portion of the weekend with Ellen, I'm afraid that her favorite guest was Minnie!

Ellen has also reached that stage where she is acutely aware of who is and isn't paying attention to her. This often results in screaming until you peek at her, and then a big ol' grin. Lovely. The grandparents were especially helpful with entertaining Ellen in the witching hour of 5-6pm. Here she is getting ready to go to bed ...

Do you think she likes her pacifier?

(Also, point of discussion: Does Ellen's long hair look more like a male tween heartthrob - i.e. Zack Efron - or a teenage boy from Alabama?)

And, of course, food was involved .... the McKnight grandparents are having their kitchen re-done, so joined us for dinner Sunday evening. Erik's italian sausage app, Caroline's grilled ceasar salad, and a pot of Chicken and Sweet Potato chili made by Molly and instructed by Ann Lund in Dining on Barton Street. We ate on the deck and it was actually kind of chilly.
Aaaahh ...

Ellen's teenage boy hair is super cute! Why can't Preston have that much hair??
